Paul Richardson - A Shell-Fish Seller

Paul first sang in York with Rowntree Youth Theatre (clearly many years ago) taking part in various musicals his favourite role was that of the MC in Chicago. Following a family move to Filey, Paul joined Scarborough & District Light Operatic Society and sang a number of Gilbert &Sullivan roles notably Ko-Ko in The Mikado and the Lord Chancellor in Iolanthe. On moving back to York, Paul graduated to York Opera. He has been singing with the chorus since 1999, with solo roles including Antonio in The Gondoliers. His crowning achievement in the company, however, has been rising above all to sing the role of the Emperor Altoum in Turandot.
