Clive Marshall - Director

Clive studied for an MA in Theatre and Media Production at Hull University. He taught English and Drama in a number of York schools before becoming Head of Drama at Hemsworth High School. Now no longer a full-time teacher, Clive divides his non-home and family time between York Railway Institute Band, City of York Hockey Club, examining AS and A level and GCSE practical drama, part-time and supply teaching and working in some capacity with York Opera. As well as occasionally appearing in roles on stage, Clive has directed several operas for the company, among the most enjoyable and memorable being Don Giovanni, Macbeth, the world premiere of Rich Claus, Poor Claus, Albert Herring, Hugh The Drover, Peter Grimes, Turandot, Don Carlos, Carmen, I Pagliacci and, most recently, Eugene Onégin.
